I dig into the dirt to locate and expose what little roots I have. I can see parts, but only for short periods. I dig deeper to try and untangle them, but like an embryo in the womb gestating, my foundations are unsetteled and my vision is impaired.

Here you can see me searching for roots, both literally and metapherically. I used a young plant, small dental tools, and a macro lens on several DSLR cameras in studio lighting to create multiple versions of this event, however I only chose one perspective. I edited the video in Adobe Premiere Pro where I adjusted the colours and finally settled on this representation that demonstrates my search. Although the video is only 5 minutes long, it was a reflection of a 5-year period where I attempted to dissect my psyche.
